Halfbrick Blastoff Soundtrack Avaliable Now
To celebrate the new year, Halfbrick, has released the soundtrack to their ever popular game Halfbrick Blastoff. Best of all, the soundtrack is free! Halfbrick is the developer of the upcoming Xbox Live Arcade game Raskulls and several Xbox Live Indie Games and PSP Go games. Halfbrick Blastoff is avaliable for both Xbox Live Indie Games and the PSP Go.
Steals and Deals: Weapon of Choice
One of the nice things about Xbox LIVE Indie Games is their price. Even better? They keep getting cheaper. Case in point, Weapon of Choice from Mommy's Best Games. It's one of the more popular Indie Games out there and it used to cost just 400 Microsoft Points. But now, the game's price has been reduced to 240 Microsoft Points! So if you happened to skip over this game when it first came out, now might be the time to give it a try. Have a look at the screenshots and video trailer below. Now let's set the mood...
BitStream, Veks & Silence and Cheap Johnny Platform
It appears that the XBL Indie Games have taken things up a notch since announcing the name and price change with two great new titles and a price drop popping up recently, and they're all worth a look!
Veks and Silence Slips Through
Well, looks like Edible Entertainment's Veks and Silence is now available. Odd how it just slipped through as it is one of the most anticipated XNA games to come out. The game shot onto the Xbox Live Indie Games market on Saturday the 8th. The game looks to contain a vast amount of awesomeness. You can support the developer by visiting VeksandSilence.com and downloading tons of free stuff as well as buying from the store. You can even follow Silence on Twitter! Go out and buy today!
New Dust: An Elysian Tail Trailer
The Elysian Tail is particular interesting as it seems to have many projects being built around one universe. There is an independent movie coming out as well as a game called Dust: An Elysian Tail. The art work looks beautiful and the gameplay smooth. The game is slated to be released on Xbox Live Indie Games but has been entered into the Dream Build Play competition, from what I understand would allow it to become a full Xbox Live Arcade title.
I must say that the game looks pretty impressive. Hopefully wont be completely geared towards children. As well as having a good depth to story and gameplay; rather than being a standard beat'em up. Trailer below.
Halfbrick Rocket Racing Trailer
Halfbrick is really starting to impress. With two solid titles out on Xbox Live Indie Games (Halfbrick Echoes and Halfbrick Blastoff) and an XLA title on its way (Raskulls) they look to be doing fantastic. Here is a peak at the next Halfbrick Fridays release, Halfbrick Rocket Racing. The game will feature three game modes, four player support, global leaderboards, over 40 tracks and unique control system. How unique? Well your racer is controlled by the two triggers. Each trigger controls one of the two rockets attached to your racer. Allowing for pin point turns. It also looks like you can gain a boost by shooting off walls. The game looks very fun and is to be released for 200 Microsoft Points on Xbox Live Indie Games. Trailer below.
Dadoo Games Curling Practice Mode
Dadoo Games has released a new video featuring the practice mode of their upcoming game for XLIG called Curling. Now if your a fan of Curling and have been looking for a game to play, this one by Dadoo Games looks pretty solid and fully featured. Video is below!
Steals and Deals: $1 Xbox Live Indie Games
According to the Xblaratings.com Twitter feed, a bunch of titles are getting a price drop (some a price raise) but mostly a price drop. So if you have some extra points, an Xbox Live Indie Game isn't a bad way to spend it. Here are the games for one dollar (80 points).
